Foot Valve can be used to optimize the functionof water or air pumps. It is kind of non return valve. It functions to secure water to flow in one direction after getting into the pipeline. It keeps the pipeline full of water even when the pump stops working.
Compared to other valves, foot valve is designed on the basis of a larger flow area than the exact pipe size. It maintains the proper amount of hydraulic pressure in order to secure the required flow rate.
The model is with a lever for emergency hand operation.
